Quality Based Routing

Each vendor connection can be automatically monitored on two parameters – ACD (average call duration) and ASR (average success rate). You can choose to monitor one of them or both. When a measured parameter exceeds a threshold then the connection can be either made the least preferred destination or can be completely disabled. Measuring of the quality is done using the “floating window” which consists of configurable number of calls.
Connection Quality Recovery Algorithm.

A bad quality connection is fully or partially disabled, so it is difficult to evaluate its current quality. To prevent an indefinite blocking the quality of a bad connections is periodically tested. After a configured interval of time the connection temporarily becomes good and a number of calls is sent to it. If the newly measured quality is good then the connection is unblocked, if not, the connection is blocked again to be tested later.
Quality Monitoring Tunables.

The Edit Vendor Connection form contains the following options that you can set manually.

* ACD Threshold – threshold in seconds. When measured value drops below this value then the connection is treated as bad.
* ASR Threshold – value in percents. If number of successfull calls becomes too low then the connection becomes bad.
* Statistics Window – the ACD and ASR values is measured based a given number of latest calls. This option is the number of last calls to measure.
* Retry Interval – This is the time in seconds after which the bad connection is tested if the quality became better.
* Retry Batch – This number of calls is tested to check the new quality of the connection.
* Bad Quality Action – You can choose to completely block the connection or make it least preferred one disregarding other routing parameters.
* Notify On Status Change – This causes a messages to be sent to the e-mail address of the root customer on each change of the status of a connection. The messages are sent only on real not temporary status changes.

JVS-VPN Module Released !!

We are pleased to announce JVS VPN Module that allows sending and receiving VoIP calls in networks where VoIP is de-legalized , This module allows VoIP calls to be encrypted and tunneled from client endpoints to JVS SIP Server by passing any blocks made by ISPs in some countries like UAE , Oman , Qatar.

The JVS Tunnel Client currently compatible with Windows 32 Bit OS and soon will be running on 64 bit machines as well . It is also will be embedded in our soft phones soon…

The communication between the client and the JVS-Tunnel-Server can be  either in TCP or UDP protocol and can use any  port (to be specified by JVS administrator).

JVS – Sun MicroSystems – AMD.

Today JVS Developers announced releasing the new JVS Version which is compatible with Sun Microsystems Hardware and AMD Processors – the system was tested and has been verified to work on Sun Blades Server and AMD Processors.

JVS Developers also announced moving forward on testing JVS V.1.8 with VMware ESXi Virtualization Hyper Visor.

Calling Card – Voice Mail – IP-PBX…. Arabic IVR Added

Today we released the stable version (V.1.0.1) of the Arabic IVR for the following JVS modules:

-Calling Card IVR.
-Voice Mail IVR.
-Callback IVR.
-Peer2Peer IVR.
-IP-PBX.

In order to hear the new Arabic IVR live we have created a demo access number which can be dialed from any phone line with international access.

Note: make sure you have DTMF enabled in order to get the proper reaction from the IVR System.

2-You will hear the Select Language scenario Press 1 for Arabic and 2 for English.
3-Enter PIN # 104065555611 followed by the # key.

JVS Goes 64 Bit…

JVS new version 1.8 Carrier-Grade Softswitch has been successfully tested on 64 BIT machines ,The update bumps the maximum amount of supported RAM to 128GB versus 4GB for the 32-bit version and should benefit customers with medium and large amount of traffic.

The new version allows fully utilizing potential of the modern multi-core AMD and Intel server processors, including Intel Xeon EM64T, Intel Xeon64, Intel Core2, Intel i7 and AMD Opteron.

The new preview version of the software is available immediately for selected customers and will be available soon as version 1.6.1 to the new and existing clients.
